HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes2022-033 Bornstein EE Campground Extension Sponsored by: Bower CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA RESOLUTION 2022-033 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, ALLOWING BORNSTEIN SEAFOODS TO OCCUPY THEIR EMPLOYEE CAMPGROUND LOCATED AT 3201 SORREL ROAD BEGINNING MARCH 17, 2022 WHEREAS, commercial fish processing is an integral part of the Seward economy; and WHEREAS, we want to continue to expand the quantity of fish processing that takes place at Seward processors; and WHEREAS, the long-line season purchase opening is March 20, 2022; and WHEREAS, Bornstein Seafoods has requested to occupy their worker housing earlier than the April 15 start date. NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY Lor OF SEWARD, ALASKA that: Section 1. Bornstein Seafoods has permission to occupy their worker housing beginning on March 17, 2022. Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption. PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Seward, Alaska, this 14th day of March, 2022. City Council Agenda Statement Meeting Date: March 14, 2022 To: City Council Through: Janette Bower, City Manager From: Jason Bickling, Community Development Agenda Item: Resolution 2022-033: Allowing Bornstein Seafoods Inc. to Occupy their Employee Campground Located at 3201 Sorrel Road beginning March 17, 2022 Background and justification: Bornstein Seafoods has requested permission to occupy their employee campground located at 3201 Sorrel Rd at the start of the long-line season on March 171".
