RESOLUTION 2022-048
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SIGN ALL
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS RELATED TO THE LOWELL CREEK
FLOOD DIVERSION PROJECT
WHEREAS, the Lowell Creek Flood Diversion Project is fully funded; and
WHEREAS,the United States Army Corp of Engineers(USACE)has begun work on
the project; and
WHEREAS,the initial work phase requests the city manager's signature on numerous
documents related to the project; and
WHEREAS, it is anticipated these requests will continue throughout the project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SEWARD,ALASKA that:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to sign any and all documents related to the
Lowell Creek Flood Diversion Project
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.

Documents Related to the Lowell Creek Flood Diversion Project
Background and justification:
With full funding of the Lowell Creek Flood Diversion Project, the United States Army Corp of
Engineers (USACE) has begun work on the project. The initial work phase requests the city
manager's signature on numerous documents related to the project. It is anticipated these requests
will continue throughout the project. This resolution authorizes the city manager to sign the
documents directly related to the project.
