Concerns expressed over impact on aesthetics. 15.10.222 Development requirement notes: we need to review note E;Ecklund; add min buildable lot size fontiurlas to Development Requirements table: InCludc new definitions' "Open space" means an area reserved or developed for recreational i or preserved for its natural amenities. Open space may include squares, parks, bicycle and pedestrian paths, refuges, campgrounds, picnic areas, playgrounds, and gardens. "Open space" does not include outdoor recreation facilities. Development requirement notes apparently not codified,P&Z will need to bring all notes before Council for adoption to prevent legal challenge: Remove ADA from definition of Studio Apartment Commissioners would like to see a minimum apartment size number placed in code-based on building codes-to avoid public challenges Lodging in industrial Commissioners to consider adding C to hotel/motel in I area Requested examples of CUP flow chart Swann questioning the maximum size specified in studio apartment definition—what if the developer wants a 400 square foot apartment complex?This question points to the usefulness of the formula approach to minimum buildable lot size. Per Ecklund: "See if we can find a city code that has less than 12 dwelling definitions'', intent is to try to condense our dwelling definitions I began this research and each city has Squires at the end: eliminate the words"and ADA accessible"from definition of Studio Apartment Squires: Is there a way to promote ADA accessible efficiency apartments—i.e. require one on the ground floor for every X-plex ***** Commercial building code vs. residential building code. If the apartment complex is over 6 units,it falls under the commercial building code, but for Planning does not fall under the definition of a commercial building.
