necessary to carry out disastoer assistance, inoluding the right of

the United States Army Corps of Engineers, and its agents and empl-
oyees, trom any and ~ claims far damage to personal proj't:><ty' ar
injury to third partiae.
Hl;!EREAS, before the Corps of Engineers can in1 tiate suoh

and shall give all assuranoes that it will oarry out its obligations

and when such assistance is undertaken by the Corps of Engineers.
no.J THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Comcil or the

does hereby assume the responsibility as hereinabove outlined and
set forth in this Resolution, and the City of . Seward. obligatell
itself to do and perform the followings
a. to provide without cost to the United States all rights
neoessary to carry out disaster assistance, including the right of
access and disposal areas.
b. To hold and save harmless the United States of America
the United States Army Corps of Engineers, and its ,agents and
employees, from any and all olsJ.ms for damages to personal property,
real property or injury to third parties, due to the rendering of
such assistance.

disaster assistance ~ the United StatBs of America is w~ranted in
the City of : SeW8rd ~ state of Alaska, to alleviate the suffering
and damage resulting from earthquake and/or tidal wave.< and

requested the United States of America to provide the following
disaster assistance:
a. To perform protective and other work essential for the
preservation of life and property on public and private l~~ds within
the City of Seward,
