HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes1964-379 RESOLUTION NO. 379 WHEREAS, the City .f Seward continues to have a very dangerous area which is uncleared and full of dangerous de.ris; and WHEREAS, there is in this area many containers of highly combustible materials, and WHEREAS, the entire area is filled with twisted rail, rail- road cars, wrecked merchandise, damaged vans, and ether debris; and WHEREAS, this area constitutes the area between 7th Avenue in the City .f Seward and the outward City limit line, being b~th abeve and below the water of Resurrection Bay, NON, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Cemmon Council ef the City of Seward, that the Alaska Railroad, the Corps of U. S. Army Engineers and any other responsible agency such as Texaco, Inc., and Standard Oil Co., Inc., be instructed to immediately proceed to remove any and all hazards and unsightly material from this area; and that the City Manager is hereby instructed tn take any and all f', steps necessary to carry out the purpose of this resolution.
