CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION 2004-87
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SIGN AN EXTENSION
OF A SPECIAL SERVICES CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY OF SEWARD
AND THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY PROVIDING DISPATCH
AND CLERICAL SERVICE TO PUBLIC SAFETY EMPLOYEES IN THE
SEWARD AREA FOR $48,500
WHEREAS, the City of Seward has entered into an agreement for the past nine fiscal years
to provide dispatch and clerical services to Alaska State Troopers and Fish and Wildlife Protection
Officers in the Seward Community; and
WHEREAS, the amount of compensation for dispatch services has been $48,500; and
WHEREAS, the attached extension would continue the services at the current rate through
June 30, 2005.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to sign an extension of a Special Services
contract between the City of Seward and the Department of Public Safety providing dispatch and
clerical services to public safety employees in the Seward area for $48,500.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 9th day of
August, 2004.
