It was helpful to have during COVID for case reporting and for posting links to the packets. The packet links are now available on the home page of the city website, so the Facebook page is no longer used for that. 2. Reminder to all residents: there will be a special election on February 14, 2023 for the Borough Mayor. 3. A new RESOURCES page is being created on the city website under Government for elected & appointed officials and citizens to use as reference. The page will include videos and downloadable materials covering a wide variety of topics relevant to local government, including Newly Elected Officials training from AML, Alaska Open Meetings Act, and parliamentary procedures. 4. To vote in this election, you must be REGISTERED to vote by Sunday, January 15, 2023, Who Can Register? As provided by AS 15.07.070, a person is qualified to vote who is or will be at the time of the election: 0 a citizen of the United States; 0 at least 18 years of age, or will be IS years of age within ninety (90) days of registering to vote; 0 a resident of the city for at least thirty (30) days irarnediately preceding the election; a registered to vote in state elections at a residence address within the city at least thirty (30') days before the election at which the person seeks to vote; and 0 is not disqualified from voting under Article V of the State Constitution. Last day to register with the city clerk is Friday, January 13, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. Absentee In Person Voting Any registered voter fi-oin the borough can vote in person at the Seward City Clerk's office from Monday, January 30 through Monday, February 13 from 8:00 a.m. — 5:00 pm, Bring a form of ID. The city clerk's office is located on the second floor of City Hall at 410 Adains, Street in Seward. There will be two voting locations open for borough residents on Election Day: 1. Seward City Hall in Council Chambers (first floor of City Hall) 410 Adams Street, Seward. 2.
