ID °WA) Relative to this proceeding, Kenai Mountains Public Media, Inc., doing business as Seward Public Radio, is licensee of 91.7 KIBH-FM Seward as well as a 106.1 FM translator or booster which repeats 91.7 FM over 106.1 FM to provide signal to areas of the area that the 91.7 FM signal doesn't reach. Approval of this resolution will allow Seward Public Radio to locate 106.1 FM downtown and fill in gaps where the 91.7 FM signal is non-existent, weak or suffers interference from other radio transmitters. KMPM/Seward Public Radio is also licensee of high definition digital television channel 7 which is now serving viewers and listeners all over Seward and Bear Creek. This currently operating HDTV Channel 7 transmitter is also located at the City of Seward site specified in this Resolution and Agreement. Through the use of satellite dish facilities at the City of Seward site, KMPM/Seward Public Radio will also be offering enhanced satellite based Emergency Alert System services to the Seward area via our radio and television signals. Kenai Mountains Public Media is an all volunteer 501(c)(3)Alaska non-profit corporation, and Alaska Natives and women form a majority on our corporate board of directors. KMPM/Seward Public Radio is based in Seward and Bear Creek and all of our board members, volunteers and contributors are local residents.
