CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, RESOLUTION NO. 416
Under the authority of Chapter 100, SLA 1964, 'lS amended by Chapter 7,
First Special Session, on behalf of the
CITY OF SEWARD
I hereby make application to the State of Alaska for Two Hundred Ninety-three
Thousand, One Hundred Thirty-six &O/10Qlollars ($293,136.00 ) of Federal Tran-
sitional Grants made available to assist in payment of extraordinary expenses
incurred by the state and by municipalities and school districts, as a result of
the natural disaster of March 27, 1964, for the period beginning March 28, 1964,
and ending June 30, 1965.
Attached and made a part hereto is a resolution adopted by the gov-
erning body of the
CITY OF SEWARD
, authorizing application for
this financial assistance and including a detail of the computations and bases
on which the requested figure was developed.
It is understood that allocation by the state of available funds may
require proration of the amount requested in order to provide an equitable dis-
tribution among the requesting governmental units.
It is further agreed that the
CITY OF SEWARD
will expend such funds for disaster expenses only and will maintain its account-
ing records in such manner as to segregate in the accounts, the expenditure of
these funds. Documentation such as invoices, time reports, work orders, etc.,
supporting these expenditures will be retained in such form as to permit audit
by the state or its designee, to determine the purposes for which such funds
were expended and to verify the accuracy of the amounts recorded in the accounts.
It is also agreed that should the amount allocated exceed actual disaster
expenses, the excess will be promptly refunded to the State of Alaska.
Reports of expenditure of these funds will be furnished the State as may
