RESOLUTION NO. 434
iil3REAS, due to the collapse of privately
a building, an emergency exists in the shortness of time to con-
struct a building for Halibut Producers Cooperative, Inc. flsh
processing plant in time to receive their freezing equipment with-
in the next few days so this firm may be ready to operate this
season; and

~~, an integral part of the agreement to construct such a
building is the lease agreement containing the provisions for
amortization of the costs to the City of such construction, and
therefore such lease must be agreed to by both parties prior to
any expenditures by the City for this project;
NOW, THERl.!."FORE, BE IT RESOLVED that due to the above stated
emergency conditions the provisions of Ordinance No.
to leasing of City owned property except as below stated be and
hereby are waived for this one specific transaction; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Lease Agreement between Halibut Prod-
ucers Cooperative, Inc. and the City of Seward for a building to
be constructed by the City and situated near the City Dock in the
Seward Srnall Boat Harobr area for a term of five years be and is
hereby approved and the City Manager and City Clerk-Treasurer are
hereby instructed to execute and deliver said Lease Agreement.
This Resolution to be posted and published in accordance with
Ordinance No. 315.
