HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes1965-448 RESOLUTION NO. 448 WHEREAS the Board of Port Commissioners of The City of Seward, the Harbor Master and the City Manager deem it necessary to develop a plan for the improvement and expansion of the Seward Municipal Small Boat Harbor~ and WHEREAS the present mooring facilities will not be adequate in future years and additional mooring facilities must be construc- ted~ and WHEREAS there are portions of the Seward Municipal Small Boat Harbor, namely in the northwest corner, consisting of approxi- mately eleven (ll) acres that will not be dredged at this time and will remain tide lands and mud flats~ and that it will be necessary to dredge said area for said expansion and improvement~ and WHEREAS it is proposed that the undredged area be set aside as a reserve for the expansion and improvement of the Seward Municipal Small Boat Harbor~ and that it is necessary to prohibit the construction or erection of any structure of any type, permanent or temporary, and to prohibit the beaching or parking of any vessel or objects upon the tide lands or mud flats aforesaid~ NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of The City of Seward that all undredged areas, mud flats, tide lands, within the Seward Municipal Small Boat Harbor be set aside as -1- an improvement and expansion reserve, and that no structure of any type, permanent or temporary, shall be erected, constructed or located on said property: AND FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED that no vessel or object of any type shall be placed on such tide lands, mud flats, undredged areas within the Seward Municipal Small Boat Harbor. This Resolution to be in full force and effect immediately upon passage and approval. PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of The City of Seward this 7th day of June, 1965.
