RESOLUTiON APPROVING AMENDATORY GRANT AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the City of Seward, Alaska, has heretofore approved and executed a Grant
Agreement in the form of an Offer dated October 29, 1963, and an Acceptance dated November 4,
]963, as amended by a Revised Project Summary, Revision No. I, with the United States of
America, acting by and through the Director for Northwest Operations, for Federal assistance
under the Public Works Acceleration Act, Public Law 87-658, in the form of a Grant in
connection with~e Project referred to in said Agreement; and
WHEREAS, the United States of America, acting by and through the Housing and Home Finance
Administrator, has tendered an Amendatory Grant Agreement incorporating certain modifications
in the Grant Agreement, inciuding increase In the amount of the estimated and the eligible
project costs; and
WHEREAS, said Amendatory Grant Agreement has been duly read in open meeting, fully
considered in accordance with all pertinent rules of procedure and legal requirements, and
made a part of the records of the City of Seward, Alaska; and
WHEREAS, it ii deemed advisable and in the public interest that said Amendatory Grant
Agreement be approved and its execution authorized;
NOW. THEREFORE. be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Seward that said
Amendatory Grant Agreement be and the same hereby is approved without reservation or quail-
fication.

Amendment No. I
AMENDATORY GRANT AGREEMENT
THIS AMENDATORY GRANT AGREEMENT, by and between the City of Seward, Alaska (herein called
the "Applicant") and the Housing and Home Finance Agency (herein called the "Government"),
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, the Grant Agreement between the Government and the Applicant, in the form of an
Offer dated October 29, 1963, and an Acceptance dated November,~, 1963, as amended by a Revised
Project Summary, Revison No. I, dated January 17, 1964, provides a grant to the Applicant of
$131,800 or 50 percent of the eligible project cost, whichever is the lesser; and
WHEREAS, the Government has approved the request of the Applicant that the amount of the
estimated project cost be increased from $263,600 to $266,800 and the amount of the eligible
project cost be increased from $263,600 to $264,000;
NOW, THEREFORE, for and in consideration of the mutual benefits flowing to the Government
and the Applicant, said Grant Agreement is hereby amended as follows:
1. In the eighth line of the Offer, delete "$263,600" and substitute
therefor "$266,800";
2. In the thirteenth line of the Offer, delete "$263,600" and substitute
therefor "$264,000".
THiS AMENDATORY GRANT AGREEMENT shall become effective as of the date hereof and all of
the provisions of the original Grant Agreement, as amended by Revised Project Summary No. I,
except as hereby amended, shall remain in full force and effect.
