THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 472
WHEREAS it is necessary for The City of Seward to acquire
additional lands for industrial sites, adjacent to deep water;
and
WHEREAS The City of Seward requested The Alaska Railroad
to withdraw from The Alaska Railroad Reserve P.L.O. No. 1745;
and
WHEREAS The Alaska Railroad has withdrawn P.L.O. No. 1745
(032107) for the express purpose of permitting The City of
Seward to acquire this property for industrial development;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that The City of Seward
has need for industrial sites adjacent to deep water and in
implementing the above stated arrangements, hereby requests
the Kenai Peninsula Borough to act in its behalf and to
select this property when it is made available through the
United States Bureau of Land Management and the State of
Alaska Division of Lands, and then upon receipt of same to
transfer this property to the City of Seward for industrial
development.
Reference is made to the attached copy of map showing
location of P.L.O. No. 1745.
This Resolution to be in full force and effect immedi-
ately upon passage and approval.
PASSED AND APPROVED by The Common Council of The City
of Seward, Alaska, this 7th day of September, 1965.
