RESOLUTION NO. 507
WHEREAS, Coach Maynard E. (Pete) Wi11burn and the members
of the Seward High School Basketball Temn did an excellent job
of representing The City of Seward while acting as host of the
Class liB" Basketball Tournament held in Seward March 3, 4 and 57
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that THE CITY OF SEWARD,
through its Mayor and City Council, heartily commends Coach
Maynard E. (Pete) Wi11burn and the Seward High School Basketball
Team, the Seward Seahawks, for their exemplary performance at all
times during the Class "B" Basketball Tournament held in Seward
on March 3, 4 and 5, 1966, and extends grateful thanks on behalf
of the City for their excellent representation of the City while
being host to the other participants in the tournament, namely:
the Homer Mariners, Copper Valley Bucks, Valdez Buccaneers,
Nome Nanooks, Cordova Wolves, Wasi11a Warriors and the Monroe
(Fairbanks) team.
This Resolution to be effective on the date of its passage
and approval.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the Seward City Council this 7th
day of March, 1966.
