PROCLAMATION FOR
CLEM-UP, PAINT-UP, FIX-UP TIME
Iu:SOLUTION NO. 515
WHEREAS, our fair City, set as it is in the splendor of
matchle8s beauty of land and water, traditionally reponds to
springtime with a clean-up, paint-up, fix-up campaign: and
WHEREAS, people everywhere know this in itself i8 neces8ary
and rewarding, and we ahall therefore hurry on; and
WHEREAS, this year Seward has been named ALL-AMERICA CITY
for the second time and there will be a joyous celebration on
Priday, April 29th, 1966; and
WHEREAS, no finer response, nor more appropriate preparation
to enjoy and to host such a celebration could be undertaken than
to beautify our city and make it into a true reflection o~ the
spirit of the people of Seward that haa twice brought thia
honor .to us; and
WHEREAS, as your Mayor and Council, we deaire that seward
shall be transformed into the most beautiful Alaskan city;
therefore let us begin in these days of preparation for our
ALL-AMERICA CITY celebration;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, RICHARD W. KIRKPATRICK, MAYOR OJ' 'l'BB
CITY OF SEtlARD, and we, your City Councilmen. do hereby proclaim.

APRIL 18 mROUGH MAY 31, 1966 to be CLBAN'-UP, PAINT-UP, PIX-UP
TIME in The City of Seward, and do sincerely request all citizens

to wholeheartedly join in this program.
