RESOLUTION NO. 51,9
WHEREAS, the City by its Resolution No. 515 has proclaim~d a
CLEAN-UP, PAINT-UP, FIX-UP TIME; and
WHEREAS, lumber suited only for certain limited uses remains from
the lumber gift to the people of this area to aid in the recon-
struction of the earthquake damage; and
WHEREAS, some of this remaining lumber is suitable for construct-
ing fences, garbage can racks, greenhouses and similar structures;
and
WHEREAS, the use of this lumber for these purposes would be com-
patible with the intention of the gift as well as the City Council's
Proclamation to CLEAN-UP, FIX-UP and BEAUTIFY our citYf
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the lumber given to aid in the
reconstruction of the area be and is hereby authorized for distri-
bution for use in constructing fences, garbage can racks, green-
houses and similar structures upon securing a City building permit
or other applicable permit.
This Resolution to be effective on the date of passage and approval.
