RESOLUTION NO. 631
WHEREAS, the Seward High School Track Team competed in four
meets this spring including the First Annual Kenai Relays on
April 22, the Homer Invitational Meet on April 29, the Kenai
peninsula Borough Track Meet on May 6, and the WAHSSA Regional
Meet on May 12 and 13 at Anchorage~ and
WHEREAS, the Seward High School Track Team outstandingly
represented their school in these events by consistently
bringing home ribbons and taking many honors, .including
the setting of new Class B records by Dale Shea in the mile'
run and Mike Blatchford in the two mile run and a new state
record by Bill Vincent in the 440 yard dash~ and
WHEREAS, Seward is proud c.t the fine showing and the sportsman-
like conduct throughoutth"e ~ear of these boys who worked so
hard to make this program a $ucce$s~
NOW, THEREFORE, BE :IT RESOLVED that the <:,ity Council of The
'.Co,
City of Seward hereby commends the Seward High School Track
Team and their coach, Maynard (Pete) Willburn, for their

many achievements and excellent representation during the
various track meets and particularly during their partici-
pation in the Western Alaska Regional Meet.
This Resolution to be effective on date of passage and approval.
Passed and approved by the City Council of The City of Seward,
Alaska this 15th day of May, 1967.
