RESOLUTION NO. 643 WHEREAS Resolution No. 445 sets forth agreement by the Seward city Coun- cil to pay certain costs and to do certain things to establish the Al peel Residence as an historical site to be used as a museum, at the request of the Resurrection Bay Historical Society, providing the ~esurrection Bay Historical Society shall do certain things1 and WHEREAS Resolution No. 445 provides for review at the end of twelve months from the date of said Resolution, or on June 7, 19661 and WHEREAS more than twenty-four months have passed and the Resurrection Bay Historical society has determined that the Al Peel residence is not an historical site as it had understood that it was, and has therefore with- drawn its request to The ci~y of Seward to secure the property from Alaska State Housing Authority and to save it from demolition, and has withdrawn its offer to administer said property, clean it up and opeeate it as a museum 1 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that upon review of present conditions,it is hereby determined that The city of Seward shall relinquish all inter- est and claim to Lots lO, 11, 12 and 13 in Block 2 of the Original Town- site of Seward, and shall hereby terminate the offer of financial assis- tance contained in Resolution No. 445. This Resolution shall be effective on the date of passage and approval. Passed and.J[proved by the city on this ~ day of July, 1967.
