RESOLUTION 2004-118
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, ADOPTING THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PLAN BUDGET
FOR CALENDAR YEAR 2005 AND TWO SUBSEQUENT CALENDAR
YEARS
WHEREAS, on October 11, 2004, the City Manager submitted to the City Council a
proposed budget for the City of Seward for Calendar Year 2005; and
WHEREAS, the budget was introduced to the public at the regularly scheduled Council
meeting on October 11, 2004, and through a budget overview at the regularly scheduled Council
meeting on October 25, 2004, and the City Council met in work sessions to review the proposed
budget on October 12, October 13, and October 14; and
WHEREAS, public hearings are to be held on the proposed budget on November 22, and
December 13, 2004; and
WHEREAS, there are no monies designated in the Calendar Year 2005 General Fund
Budget to finance capital improvements, other than a one mill property tax increase earmarked for
road improvements; and
WHEREAS, the Capital Acquisition Fund will not receive funding in the amount of$76,840
from the Sewer Enterprise Fund in FY2005 as partial repayment of a FY1990 loan from the General
Fund, due to insufficient revenues in the Sewer Enterprise Fund's FY2005 Budget.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The Capital Improvement Plan Budget for Calendar Year 2005, and the two
subsequent fiscal years, which is attached hereto and made a part hereofby reference, is HEREBY
ADOPTED.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect January 1, 2005.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Seward, Alaska, this 14th
day of December, 2004.
