nIE CITY OF SEWARD
R ESOWTION NO. 708
WHEREAS; the Halibut hoducers Cooperative has agreed to sub-lease their facilitie3
to the Alaskan Scallop Processor's, Inc., and the City Council of The City of Seward
has approved this sub-lease; and
WHEREAS, the Alaskan Scallop Processor's. Inc., will have their Scallop Fleet
in the Port of Seward arouoo June 25th. 1968; and
WHER BAS; this change of operations at the Halibut Producers C.ooperative facilities
will require additional freezing equipment and structures at the Halibut Producers
Cooperative site; and
WHEREAS; this change of operations will result in many additional families am
people residing in Seward with between fifty (50) and sixty (60) new employees and
jobs for the area;
NOW. TIiEREFORE; the City Council of The City of Seward, Alaska. hereby
authorizes the City Manager to arrange for interim financing and the preparation of
the sale of One~Hundred am Eight Thousand ($108.000) Dollars of un:r~~
booos to finance this additional equipment and facilities. which will be leased to the
Alaskan Scallop Processor's, Inc.. on a lease-purchase agreement.
This Resolution to be effective upon date of passage am approval.
