WHEREAS: Emery G. and Frieda O. Sample have made application to lease
Lot 2 in Block 1 in tIle Marina Subdivision in the City of Seward Municipal
Small Boat Harbor Commercial District to conduct a Fish Processing and
Cold Storage business; and
WHEREAS: Emery G. and Frieda O~ Sample disclose that they are prepared
to commence CC:1F.lt:"uctlO:l of t.~e buHding immediately; and
WHEREAS: the attacl:o::l form of lease v:hich the City w1ll offer to Emery G.
and Frieda O. Sample for su~h lease contains all the provisions for the pro-
tection of the city in developing salutary, active use of the land that similar
leases contain and which have been posted and published without adverse
comment regarding the provisions of such leases being filed with the city;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the form of lease attached hereto
and made a part hereof, be and is hereby approved and the City Manager and
City Clerk-Treasurer be and are hereby authorized and instructed to sign

BE IT FURT'dER RESOLVED that t1e requirements of Ordinance No. 315
pertaining to a public hearing be and are hereby waived for the aforestated
reasons.
Th:.s resolution shall be published by posting a copy thereof on the bulletin
board at the City Hall and publishing a brief statement of the purposes of said
resolution in a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Seward within
a rea.sonable time; and shall become effective immediately thereafter.
Passed and approved by the City Council of the City of Seward, Alaska, this

WHER BAS: Emery G. and Frieda O. Sample have made application to lease

WHER BAS: Emery G. and Frieda O. Sample disclose that they are prepared
to commence construction of t.'1e building immediately; and
WHEREAS: the attached form of lease which the City will offer to Emery G.
and Frieda O. Sample for such lease contains all the prOvisions for the pro-
tection of the city in developing salutary, active use of the land that similar
leases contain and which have been posted and published without adverse
comment regarding the provisions of such leases being filed with the city;
NOW, TIiER EFOR E BE IT R ESOL VED that the form of lease attached hereto
and made a part hereof, be and is hereby approved and the City Manager am
City Clerk-Treasurer be and are hereby authorized and instructed to sign
and deliver said lease for Lot 2, Block 1 in the Marina Subdivision in the City
of Seward to be used to conduct a Fish Processing and Cold Storage business
for a term of thirty (3a) years; and
BE IT FURnIER RESOLVED that t.'1e requirements of Ordinance No. 315
