THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA RESOLUTION NO. 747 WHEREAS, The Alaska Railroad has announced that it will not schedule weekly passenger train service to Seward, and WHER BAS, The City Council of The City of Seward recognizes the importance of sustaining interest in the community through the diversification of surface transportation, and WHER BAS, weekly passenger train service to the community would be an asset this year and for each year that it was continued with increasing economic benefits to the city and to The Alaska Railroad, NOW, nIEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of The City of Seward, Alaska, directs the Acting City Manager to request The Alaska Railroad to continue weekly passenger service to Seward during the summer of 1969. This Resolution shall be effective upon the date of passage and approval. Passed and approved by The City Council of The City of Seward, Alaska, this 19th day of May, 1969. .
