THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 753
WHEREAS, The Common Council of The City of Seward. Alaska, as an economy measure,
has approved the combination of duties of City Manager and City Clerk-Treasurer;
and,
WHEREAS. James R. Filip, City Clerk-Treasurer of The City of Seward, Alaska, has
assumed the duties of Acting City ~~nager/City Clerk-Treasurer under authority
granted by City of Seward Resolution No. 743, and
WHEREAS. it is the intention of The Common Council of The City of Seward, Alaska,
to appoint James R. Filip as City Manager/City Clerk-Treasurer;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that James R. Filip is appointed City Managerl

City Clerk-Treasurer at an annual salary of $18.000.00, effective July 1. 1969,
and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this appointed position being created as an economy
measure may be abolished at any time by the City Council, or by the appointee, upon
sixty days written notice; provided further that James R. Filip has the option to
continue as City Clerk-Treasurer for a period of one year following tennination
of the appointment created herein, at an annual salary of $12,000.00.
This Resolution shall be effective upon the date of its passage and approval.
