WHEREAS, the City of Seward is the owner of the following described real property within the City of Seward: All of Lot Thirteen (13), of the proposed Seward Small Boat Harbor Industrial Subdivision, Seward Recording District, Seward, Alaska. WHEREAS, the Ordinances of the City of Seward provide for the sale or other disposition of real property owned by the City of Seward, which is not dedicated to any public use, and the subject property is not dedicated to any public use, and WHEREAS, the Ordinances provide that the Council may, by motion passed, find that the public interest will not be served by lease of said subject property either by auction or sealed bid, and WHEREAS, Council has determined that the public interest will not be served by pUblic lease but that the public interest will be served by a negotiated lease of the property to Benjamin Suddath, and WHEREAS, the Ordinances of the City of Seward provide that Council may authorize the City Manager to negotiate a lease of real property by Resolution duly enacted, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA: Section 1. That it is in the public interest to lease the parcel of real property herein described to Benjamin Suddath; all provisions with reference to pUblic advertisement for lease of the property are hereby declared to be not in the pUblic interest. Section 2. That the City Manager is authorized and directed to negotiate the lease of said parcel in accordance with the Ordinances of the City of Seward and the Lessee's proposal dated the 22nd day of June , 1969 and to do all things necessary to consummate said lease and the proper city officials are authorized and directed to execute the lease. -1- r ATIACHED TO AND t-lADE A PART OP THE MINUTES OJ! That this Resolution shall be filed and published as in the case of Resolutions for public sale of property and the lease shall not be executed until said Resolution has been on file in the office of the Clerk for thirty (30) days.
