THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 761
WHEREAS, The citizens and members of the City Council of the City of Seward,
Alaska, wish to pay tribute to the first American to set foot on the 1'loon; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to mark this occasion in such a way as to continue
this tribute as a monument to the acheivement of ~mnkind; and
WHEREAS, this glorious m~"ent in our Nation's space history marks the beginning
of a new era of exploration and discovery;

iJOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Ra ilway Avenue is re-named Annstrong Avenue
in order to perpetuate this memorable event and the memory of the spirit of a
courageous American.
This Resolution shall be effective upon the date of its passage and approval.
