RESOLUTION 2002-076
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADD $3,014.22 TO THE
CONTRACT WITH ALCAN ELECTRICAL AND ENGINEERING, INC. TO
COMPLETE THE MITIGATION WORK ON THE TRANSMISSION AND
DISTRIBUTION LINE BETWEEN MILES 18 AND 22
WHEREAS, the City of Seward hired Alcan Electrical and Engineering, Inc to do the
mitigation work on the transmission and distribution line at Miles 18 and 22; and
WHEREAS, there is an additional cost of$3,014.22 to Alcan Electrical and Engineering,
Inc.'s contract due the increase of wages and remobilizing of manpower and equipment; and
WHEREAS, FEMA has agreed to fund the total amount of the mitigation and clearing
work in the amount of$219,833.05.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to add $3,014.22 to the Alcan Electrical
and Engineering, Inc. contract for the mitigation work at Miles 18 and 22.
Section 2. Funding to be from a FEMA grant and appropriated to account 866-8661-5390.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council ofthe City of Seward, Alaska, this 26th
day of August, 2002.
