CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
ORDINANCE NO. 96-15
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AMENDING THE SEWARD LAND USE PLAN
AND ZONING FOR LOTS 1-2, BLOCK 9, AND LOT 12, BLOCK 10, FEDERAL
ADDITION, AND LOTS 5A, 9A AND llA, OCEANVIEW SUBDIVISION NO. 10
WHEREAS, property owners of the above listed parcels have requested that the City initiate
a land use plan and zoning change for the above titled properties to Auto Commercial; and
WHEREAS, the immediate surrounding current and projected uses are compatible with the
requested commercial designation; and
WHEREAS, land use plan and zoning changes may be initiated by the City Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
HEREBY ORDAINS that:
Section 1. The Seward Land Use Plan is hereby amended as follows:
A. The Land Use Designation for Lot 2, Block 9, Federal Addition, is changed from
Office Residential to Auto Commercial.
B. The Land Use Designation for Lot 1, Block 9, and Lot 12, Block 10, Federal
Addition, and Lots 5A, 9A and llA, Oceanview Subdivision No. 10, is changed from Urban
Residential to Auto Commercial.
Section 2. The Seward Zoning Map is hereby amended as follows:
A. The Zoning Designation for Lots 1 and 2, Block 9, Federal Addition, is changed from
Institutional (INS) to Auto Commercial (AC).
B. The Zoning Designation for Lot 12, Block 10, Federal Addition, and Lots 5A, 9A and
llA, Oceanview Subdivision No. 10, is changed from Urban Residential (DR) to Auto Commercial
(AC).
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect ten (10) days following its enactment.
ENACTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, this
8th day of April, 1996.
