RESOLUTION 2002-098
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, RESUBMITTING THE PRIORITIZED LIST OF CAPITAL
PROJECTS AND REQUESTING FUNDING UNDER THE ALASKA
DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION MUNICIPAL
MATCHING GRANT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, Resolution 2002-088 prioritized a list of 'water and sewer' capital projects; and
WHEREAS, the term 'water and sewer' preceding the term 'capital projects' did not meet the
criteria outlined by ADEC to receive the maximum amount of points awarded for their Municipal
Matching Grant Program; and
WHEREAS, the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (ADEC) Municipal
Matching Grant Program requires the municipality under AS 37 to submit a list of prioritized capital
projects if funding is requested by the municipality under the Municipal Matching Grant Program;
and
WHEREAS, it is required under AS 37 to provide a local matching share for capital projects
funded through the Municipal Matching Grant Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA that:
Section 1. The City of Seward, by this resolution, hereby endorses and authorizes the
following capital project priority for the Alaska Department of Environmental conservation
Municipal Matching Grants: Upgrade and Realignment of 3'd Avenue Water Main.
Section 2. This resolution shall take affect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 14 day of
October, 2002.
