RESOLUTION 2002-114
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, AUTHORIZING $10,000 BE APPROPRIATED FROM THE
GENERAL FUND AND DISTRIBUTED TO THE SEWARD VOLUNTEER
AMBULANCE CORPS TO HELP OFFSET THE COST OF THE
CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION FIREWORKS DISPLAY
WHEREAS, the Seward Volunteer Ambulance Corps is sponsoring a New Year's Eve
Celebration Community Ball; and
WHEREAS, the Seward Volunteer Ambulance Corps has been actively fund raising for over
8 months to raise the $22,000 needed for this event; and
WHEREAS, this is a nonprofit event intended for the entire community to enjoy.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. Funds in the amount of $10,000 will be distributed to the Seward Volunteer
Ambulance Corps.
Section 2. $10,000 is appropriated from the General Fund, Fund Balance Account (101-
0000-3050) to General Fund miscellaneous contributions account no. 10 1-1191-5610-9999.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 18th
day of November, 2002.
