CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
ORDINANCE NO. 96-19
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AMENDING THE SEWARD LAND USE PLAN AND
ZONING FOR LOTS BE, BF, BG, BK, AND BL, FOREST ACRES SUBDIVISION
WHEREAS, property owners ofthe above listed parcels have initiated a land use plan and
zoning change for the above titled properties to Rural Residential; and
WHEREAS, the immediate surrounding current and projected uses are compatible with the
requested very low density single family residential district; and
WHEREAS, the land use plan and zoning changes may be initiated by petition of a majority
of the property owners in the area to be amended; and
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission has approved Resolution No. 96-07,
recommending the Code amendments included in this ordinance;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
HEREBY ORDAINS that:
Section 1. The Seward Land Use Plan is hereby amended by changing the Land Use
Designation for Lots BE, BF, BG, BK, and BL, Forest Acres Subdivision, from Single-Family
Residential (Rl) to Rural Residential (RR).
Section 2. The Seward Zoning Map is hereby amended by changing the Zoning Designation
of Lots BE, BF, BG, BK, and BL, Forest Acres Subdivision, from Single-Family Residential (Rl)
to Rural Residential (RR).
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect ten (10) days following its enactment.
ENACTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, this
8th day of July, 1996.
