RESOLUTION 2002-137
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE DISCHARGE OF FIREWORKS BY THE
SEWARD VOLUNTEER AMBULANCE CORPS
WHEREAS, Seward City Code S 1 0.1 0.040 prohibits the discharge of fireworks in Seward
unless specifically approved by the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the Seward Volunteer Ambulance Corp has requested a fireworks display be
authorized as part of the Centennial New Year's Eve Community Ball.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL VED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The Seward Volunteer Ambulance Corps is authorized to discharge fireworks
within the City at a time and place that has received the prior approval of the City Fire Chief.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council ofthe City of Seward, Alaska, this 18th
day of December 2002.
