RESOLUTION 2003-027
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO PURCHASE A 3/4-
TON TRUCK FROM ALASKA KENAI CHRYSLER CENTER FOR $25,014
AND AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A V-PLOW FROM
TRUCKWELL FOR $4,445.00, APPROPRIATING FROM MOTOR POOL
RETAINED EARNINGS FUND, 102-0000-3050 TO THE MOTOR POOL
EQUIPMENT ACCOUNT NUMBER 102-1020-5930
WHEREAS, On January 20, 2003, the 1989 green, F-250 'plow truck' burned and was
totaled; and
WHEREAS, a replacement truck is required to fulfill the obligations of our work; and
WHEREAS, the deterioration and removal of other vehicles from the fleet have left the
department without other options; and
WHEREAS, an extensive search was conducted via the Alaska State bid for the best price
and best working truck
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to purchase a 3/4-ton truck from Alaska Kenai
Chrysler Center for $25,014.
Section 2. The City Manager is authorized to purchase a V -plow from Truckwell for
$4,445.00.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Seward, Alaska, this 10th
day of March, 2003.
