AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CI Y
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, INCREASING THE MONT Y
COMPENSATION FOR THE MAYOR AND COU IL
that:
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, AL SKA HEREBY ORDAINS
Section 1. Seward City Code Section 2.10.100, Subs tion A, is hereby amended to read
as follows:
2.10.100 Compensation of councilmembers.
A. Councilmembers shall be comp satedfor service on the city council
as follows:
1. The mayor will be ompensated at the rate of eight hundred
dollars ($800.00) per month; and
2. Each councilm ber will be compensated at the rate of four
hundred dollars ($400.00) per mon .
Section 2. This ordinance s 1 take effect following certification of the 1997 regular
municipal election.

26th day of August, 1996.
