Fi~ City Clerk-Treasurer CITY OF SEWARD RESOLUTION NO. 819 A RESOLUTION TO CORRECT A PAST OMISSION IN REGARD TO CERTAIN PROPERTY WHEREAS, the City of Seward appears to have an interest in the following described property because of a tax deed dated February 17, 1956, and recorded February 18, 1956, in Book 19 of Deeds at page 289, Seward Recording District, Third Judicial District, State of Alaska: Lots TEN (10), ELEVEN (11), TWELVE (12), and THIRTEEN (13), of Block Twenty-Seven (27), of the original townsite of Seward, Alaska accord- ing to the official plat thereof filed in the Seward Recording District, Third Judicial District, State of Alaska, and WHEREAS, after investigation of this matter, it has been determined by the City administration that no taxes are owing on this property, and that the property apparently has been redeemed at some time in the past. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA: Section 1. That it is in the public interest to execute a quit claim deed for the above-mentioned property for the purpose of clearing the title, such deed to quit claim any and all interest of the City of Seward, if any, to Maynard L. Hughes and June E. Hughes, husband and wife, of Anchorage, Alaska, as tenants by the entirety. Section 2. That the city manager is authorized and directed to execute the attached quit claim deed on behalf of the City of Seward. Section 3. That this resolution shall be effective immediately upon passage and approval, and that the quit claim deed referred to herein may be executed immediately. PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Seward, Alaska, this 12th day of April, 1971.
