HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes1971-831 r- ATTACHED TO AND MADE A PART OF THE MINUTES OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA RESOLUTION NO. 831 THE(~EWARD CITY COUNCIL VOL 15 -#-~ '~{<"F'i~ City Clerk-Treasurer A RESOLUTION APPROVING TRANSFER OF FUNDS FROM THE CONTINGENCY TO THE HARBOR AND PUBLIC WORKS DEPART- MENT BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, THAT: Section 1. The sum of $2,OOO.00(two thousand dollars) is hereby transferred from the Contingency to the Harbor Department. Section 2. The sum of $3,OOO.00(three thousand dollars) is hereby transferred from the Contingency to the Public Works Department. Section 3. The Contingency as represented in Resolution No. 827 is amended to read $23,574.00. This Resolution takes effect immediately upon passage and approval by the City Council of the City of Seward, Alaska. They must be able to speak or read the English language as prescribed by law, unless prevented by physical disability. d. They must be registered in the manner prescribed in the Seward Election Code. e. They must not be barred from voting by any other provision of law. Section 4. Registration shall be required as a qualification of the voters in the special election as provided in Chapter 8 of the Seward City Code. Polling places shall be open from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. on October 5, 1971. The manner, method and procedure for conductin~ the election, including the canvaSB of returns, shall be as provided for City elections in Chapter 8 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Seward, Alaska. Section 5. The City Manager shall cause to be pub- lished in a newspaper of general circulation in the City such notices of this election as are required by Section 8-4 of the Seward City Code. Publication of this Resolution shall be made by posting a copy hereof on the City Hall bulletin board for a period of ten (10) days following its passage and approval. This Resolution takes effect immediately upon passage and approval by the City Council of the City of Seward.
