HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes1972-851 r CITY OF SEWARD Resolution No. 851 WHEREAS, the creation and continuation of the fishing in- dustry in Alaska will promote the economic vitality of the State as a whole, and WHEREAS, fishing continues to be of prime economic import- ance to coastal communities in the State, and WHEREAS, the State Legislature may allocate funds for str.am rehabilitation and for the construction of fish rearing ponds under the direction of the Department of Fish & Game, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Seward, Alaska, that the Legislature is hereby commended for this action, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Seward requests that the Department of Fish & Game uses a portion of the funds allocated for use in the Seward area in support of the local fishing efforts based in the community. This Resolution takes effect ~ediately upon passage and approval. PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Seward, Alaska, this 22nd Day of March, 1972.
