RESOWI'ION NO. 883
A RESOLUTION At1I'HORIZING FILING OF APPLICATION WITH THE ECONCMIC
DEVELOPMENI' ADmNISTRATION, U.S. DEPARIMENr OF CC*1MERCE,
UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, FOR A GRAm' AND/OR LOAN
UNDER THE TERMS OF PUBLIC LAW 89-136 AS AMENDED
WHEREAS, under the terms of Public law 89-136 as anended, the United States
of America has authorized the rmk:1ng of grants and/or loans to public obodies
and private or public nonprofit organizations or associations to aid in fi-
rancing the construction of specific public projects:
Now 'Iherefore, Be It Resolved By the COllllX)n Council of the City of Seward, Alaska
1. 'Ihat Mayor R. F. Richardson is hereby authorized to execute and file an
application on behalf of '!he City of Seward, Alaska with the Economic Dev-
e10pmnt Advinistrat1on, U.S. Department of Conmerce, for a grant and/or loan
to aid in financing the coru;;truction of water system in;>rovements cOlll>Osed of
a well and a reservoir.
2. That James R. Filip) City ~r, is hereby authorized and directed to
furnish such infornation as the Economic Development Adnrlnistration, U.S.
Department of Conmerce, may reasonably request in connection with the appli-
cation which is herein authorized to be filed, and 1s also authorized to
accept an offer of grant in behalf of the City.
