CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 913
A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR WE SAlE OF LOTS 1, 2,
AND 3, BLOCK 5, OCEANVIEW SUBDIVISION, TO WE
UNIVERSITY OF ALASKA.
WHEREAS, the Alaska State Housing Authority has offered Lots 1,
2 and 3, Block 5, Oceanview Subdivision, for sale for a subs-
tantial period of time and has secured two offers to purchase
this property, and
WHEREAS, in accord with Section 2-92 of the City of Seward Code
of Ordinances, the City Council determines that no further ad-
vertising or solicitation of bids is in the public interest, and
that it is in the public interest to sell this property to the
University of Alaska for use as a marine research and education
facility.
NOW, WEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Seward, Alaska, that,
Section 1. The City shall sell Lots 1, 2, and
3, Oceanview Subdivision, to the University of
Alaska for use as a marine research and education
facility, with a sales price of fifty-three thou-
sand, four hundred and thirty-eight dOllars($53,
438.00).
Section 2, The sales document shall be in a
form acceptable to the United States Department
of Housing and Urban Development(HUD).
Section 3. This Resolution becomes effective
thirty(30) days after passage and publication
in accord with Section 2-88 of the City of
Seward Code of Ordinances, and the sales docu-
ments may be executUed at that time.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Seward,
Alaska, this 2nd day of December, 1974,
