CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 77-6
A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE ATTEMPTS
OF THE SEWARD SENIOR CITIZENS' PROGRAM
TO OBTAIN A STAFF ASSISTANT UNDER TITLE IX,
SENIOR COMMUNITY SERVICE EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City of Seward supports the local Senior Citizens'
Program and presently donates in-kind resources to the program, as provided
under Title III funding, and
WHEREAS, the program is expanding at a rapid rate, meeting the
needs of more than 100 senior citizens in the community, and
WHEREAS, the City is the local government sponsor of the unin-
corporated organization and must, therefore, approve all requests for Federal
and State assistance;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of Seward, Alaska, supports the efforts of the Senior Citizens' Program in
attempting to obtain a part-time assistant to the Director, as available
under Title IX, Senior Community Service Employment Program, and if granted,
will provide the ten percent in-kind match as required by the grant program.

ALASKA, this 24th day of January , 1977.
