RESOLUTION NO. 82-24
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, APPROPRIATING FUNDS TO FINANCE A TRIP TO JAPAN FOR TWO
HOSTESSES FOR THE ALASKA EXHIBIT AT THE HOKKAIDO EXPO 1982
WHEREAS, the City of Se'..a;~(, has a sister city relationship with
the City of Obihiro, Japan; and
WHEREAS, the City of Seward will be participating in EXPO HOK-
KAIDO '82 during the summer of 1982; and
WHEREAS, Rhonda Anderson and Harume Kawabe have been selected to
represent both the City of Seward and the State of Alaska as hostesses of
the Alaska exhibit at EXPO HOKKAIDO '82; and
WHEREAS, the Seward City Council wishes to finance their trip to
Japan as Seward's contribution to the Alaska exhibit;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section l. The sum of $8435 is hereby appropriated from the Mayor
and Council Contingency Fund account number 101-111-511-10-69 to the General
Services account number 101-118-518-15-24.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its
adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, this lOth day of May 1982.
