CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 82-25
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, APPROPRIATING FUNDS TO FINANCE A TRIP TO EXPO HOKKAIDO
1982, FOR THE OFFICIAL REPRESENTATIVES OF THE CITY OF SEWARD
WHEREAS, the City of Seward enjoys a sister city relationship with the
City of Obihiro, Japan; and
WHEREAS, the City of Seward will be participating in EXPO HOKKAIDO '82
during the summer of 1982; and
WHEREAS, a delegation from Seward, including the High School Band and
Choir, is travelling to Japan in the summer of 1982; and
WHEREAS, the Seward City Council has requested that Mayor Donald W. Cripps
and Councilmember Karen A. Swartz, along with their respective spouses, serve as the
official representatives of the City of Seward during the delegation's travels in
Japan;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, that:
Section l. The sum of $6,000 is hereby appropriated from the Mayor and
Council Contingency Fund account number 101-111-511-10-69 to the Mayor and Council
Travel Fund account number 101-111-Sll-l0-24.
