CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 82-3l
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AWARDING CONTRACT FOR
PHASE IV, SEWARD MARINE INDUSTRIAL PARK,
SPRING CREEK CLEARING AND RELOCATION, TO
STEPHAN & SONS, INC.
WHEREAS, the City of Seward has developed a plan for
the construction of a Marine Industrial Park in the vicinity of
4th of July Creek, on Resurrection Bay in Seward, Alaska, and
WHEREAS, several phases of construction of that
facility are underway, and
WHEREAS, Phase IV, Seward Marine
Spring Creek Clearing and Relocation, a part
construction of Seward Marine Industrial Park,
public bid, and
Industrial Park,
of the continuing
was advertised for
WHEREAS, funding for this project was accepted from the
State of Alaska by the City of Seward, Resolution No. 82-4, and
WHEREAS, bids were submitted by various contractors and
were opened on May 11, 1982, and
WHEREAS, stephan & Sons, Inc., is the apparent low
bidder with a bid of SEVENTY-FOUR THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED FIFTY AND
NO/lOO DOLLARS ($74,150.00), and
WHEREAS, engineers employed by the City of Seward have
reviewed the bid documents submitted by the various bidders and
have recommended that the bid be awarded to the apparent low
bidder, Stephan & Sons, Inc.~
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. An award of the contract for Spring Creek
Clearing and Relocation, is hereby made to Stephan & Sons, Inc.,
for a price not to exceed SEVENTY-FOUR THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED FIFTY
AND NO/lOO DOLLARS ($74,150.00).
Section 2. The City Manager is authorized and
instructed to enter into a contract on behalf of the City of
Seward, Alaska, with Stephan & Sons, Inc., in accordance with the
bid documents.
