RESOLUTION NO. 82-32
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AWARDING CONTRACT FOR
SEWARD MARINE INDUSTRIAL PARK, PHASE III,
DREDGING, BULKHEADS AND SHIPLIFT PIERS, A
PORTION OF ADDITIVE ALTERNATE NO.1, TO CHRIS
BERG, INC.
WHEREAS, Phase III is an integral part of an ongoing
construction effort to construct public harbor facilities in the
vicinity of 4th of July Creek on Resurrection Bay, Seward,
Alaska, and
WHEREAS, Phase I II, Dredging, Bulkheads and Shiplift
piers, of the continuing construction of the Seward Marine
Industrial Park at 4th of July Creek, which included Additive
Alternate No.1, was advertised for public bid, and
WHEREAS, the contract for Phase III, Dredging,
Bulkheads and Shiplift piers was awarded to Chris Berg, Inc., by
the City of Seward, Resolution 81-57, on December 14, 1981, and
WHEREAS, on March 25, 1982, the City of Seward made an
award of a

WHEREAS, the City of Seward has, by contract awarded by
Resolution No. 81-57, until May 30, 1982, to make an additional
award of Additive Alternate No.1 to Chris Berg, Inc., and
WHEREAS, the City of Seward now wishes to exercise its
option to award a portion of Additive Alternative No.1:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. An award of the contract for a portion of
Additive Alternate No. 1 for Phase III, Dredging, Bulkheads and
Shiplift Piers, is hereby made to Chris Berg, Inc., for a price
not to exceed ONE MILLION FOUR HUNDRED NINETY-NINE THOUSAND AND
NO/IOO DOLI,ARS ($l,499,000.00), which includes TWO HUNDRED
THIRTY-EIGHT THOUSAND AND NO/IOO DOLLARS ($238,000.00) each for
South Breakwater cells 17 through 21 [ONE MILLION ONE HUNDRED
NINETY THOUSAND AND NO/IOO DOLLARS ($1,190,000.00) total] and
THREE HUNDRED NINE THOUSAND AND NO/IOO DOLLARS ($309,000.00) for
South Breakwater cell 22.
