CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 77-29
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE CONSTRUCTION
OF AN 800 FEET TRANSIENT FLOAT
IN THE SEWARD MUNICIPAL SMALL BOAT HARBOR
BY THE STATE OF ALASKA
WHEREAS, severe crowding conditions exist in the Seward Municipal
Small Boat Harbor during the summer months, and
WHEREAS, the Tenth Alaska Legislature has appropriated $250,000
for Fiscal Year 1978 for Seward Municipal Small Boat Harbor improvements, and
WHEREAS, the Division of Waters and Harbors, State of Alaska
Department of Transportation and Public Facilities, proposes to construct
an 800 feet transient float adjacent to the East breakwater, and
WHEREAS, such transient float will help to greatly relieve con-
gestion in the Small Boat Harbor;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Seward, Alaska, that construction of the proposed 800 feet transient float
in the Seward Municipal Small Boat Harbor by the State of Alaska is approved.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, this 8th day of August, 1977.
