CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 77-31
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AGREID1ENT
WITH TRANS-ALASKA ENGINEERING
FOR A SPECIFIC ROAD DESIGN PROJECT
WHEREAS, the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District has requested
that the City of Seward have constructed an access road from the new Seward
High School to connect with the Seward Highway, and
HHEREAS, the costs of such an access road will be partially covered
by an assessment district, and
WHEREAS, the construction of said access road will allow for a new
approach from Forest Acres to the Seward Highway, thereby eliminating the
dangerous Dimond Boulevard/Seward Highway intersection, and
WHEREAS, Trans-Alaska Engineering has submitted a proposal to design
an unpaved access road from the new Seward High School to the Seward Highway
and estimates the fee for accomplishing the design phase of the project at
$5670;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Seward, Alaska, that the City Hanager is hereby authorized to enter i.nto an
agreement with Trans-Alaska Engineering for the performance of the High
School/Seward Highway road design project as specifically set forth in
Trans-Alaska Engineering letter and proposal dated August 1, 1977.
AND, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that $5670 of the $10,000 available
in the Mayor and Council - Contracted Services (Engineering) budget fund be
earmarked for said project.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEHARD, ALASKA,
this 8th day of August , 1977.
