CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 77-35
A RESOLUTION APPROPRIATING AND AUTHORIZING PAST
EXPENDITURES OF FUNDS DURING FISCAL YEAR 1976-77
WHEREAS, the City Charter provides that all funds drawn from the
treasury shall be drawn pursuant to the authority and appropriation of the City
Council, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has earlier extended authority for the ex-
penditure of $119,000 for debt service in excess of the amount originally
budgeted therefor, and
WHEREAS, the City Council earlier extended authority for the expendi-
ture of $136,000 for payment of salaries under the CETA Program in excess of
the amount originally budgeted therefor, and
WHEREAS, the City Council earlier extended authority for the expendi-
ture of $15,000 for the Small Boat Harbor in excess of the amount originally
budgeted therefor, and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to record the fact that it deems
its authorization of such expenditures to constitute the appropriation of funds
from the treasury for the payment thereof,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the authorization of the expendi-
tures for debt service, the CETA Program and the Small Boat Harbor in excess of
the originally budgeted amounts during the fiscal year ending June 30, 1977,
did constitute appropriation of funds from the treasury to cover such expenses.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA,
