RESOLUTION NO. 77-53
A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE LEASE
WIlli THE STATE OF AlASKA REGARDING WATER CHARGES
1D THE STATE FERRY SYSTEM:
WHEREAS, the State of Alaska has entered into a Lease and Dock License
Agreenent with the City for preferential rooorage rights for the State ferries, and
WHEREAS, the City recognizes many benefits fran the rooorage of the State
ferries, and
WHEREAS, the State of Alaska has been billed by Northern Stevedoring and
Handling Corporation, managers of the Seward Fourth Avenue Dock, for City water used
by the State ferries, and
WHEREAS, it is deened to be in the interest of the City to forgive these
water charges to the State of Alaska,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Seward does waive water
charges to the State of Alaska for City water used by the State ferries, and
BE IT FURlHER RESOLVED, that the tem of this forgiveness shall be fran
January 1, 1977 to June 30, 1978,
