RESOLUTION NO. 78-34
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA,
AUTHORIZING A SURVEY OF THE PROPOSED JESSE LEE
HEIGHTS SUBDIVISION SPECIAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
AND SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING
WHEREAS, the extension of water and sewer services to
the Jesse Lee Heights Subdivision is in the public interest,
and,
WHEREAS, the Seward City Code provides for the creation
of special improvement districts to finance the construction of
water and sewer extensions;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Seward, Alaska, that the City Manager is hereby
authorized and directed to complete a survey concerning the
need for and desirable extent and estimated cost of extending
water and sewer services throughout the Jesse Lee Heights
Subdivision by means of a special improvement district.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a public hearing on the
question of whether the proposed special improvement district
is in the public interest and necessary shall be held on the
14th day of August, 1978, at 7:30 P.M. in the City Council
Chambers at City Hall.
