RESOLUTION 99-006
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, APPROPRIATING $35,000 FROM THE GENERAL FUND, FUND
BALANCE TO THE SNOW AN ICE REMOVAL ACCOUNT AND
INCREASING THE AFOGNAK SNOW REMOVAL CONTRACT FROM
$28,000 TO $53,000
WHEREAS, as a result of the heavy snowfall the City experienced in December 1998, the
City spent $29,453.75 for snow and ice contracted services; and
WHEREAS, the City's FY 99 budget for contracted services in the Snow and Ice Removal
Account is $28,500; and
WHEREAS, since this is only January, and past experience has shown that February and
March are probably going to be the City's heaviest snow-fall months, the City Administration
recommends increasing Snow and Ice Removal Budget by $35,000;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Council appropriates $35,000 from the General Fund, Fund Balance
Account 101-0000-3050 to Snow and Ice Removal Account 1314-5390 and approving an increase
ofthe Afognak Snow Removal Contract from $28,000 to $53,000.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 25 day
ofJanuary,1999.
