CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION 99-027
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO PAY THE
JANUARY SHORESIDE BILLING IN THE AMOUNT OF $12,004.48 FOR
HEATING AND DIESEL ENGINE FUEL, GASOLINE, LUBRICANTS,
CLEANING SOLVENTS, AND ANTI-FREEZE.
WHEREAS, the City Council approved Resolution 99-11 on February 8, 1999
authorizing the City Manager to enter into a contract with Shoreside Petroleum to supply heating
and diesel fuel, gasoline, lubricants, cleaning solvents, and anti-freeze to the City of Seward; and,
WHEREAS, the previous contract with Shoreside Petroleum to supply the'same products
expired on December 31, 1999 and the new contract was not effective until F'ebtuary I, 1999;
and,
WHEREAS, the Shoreside billing of $12,004.48 for the month of January exceeds the
amount which can be approved without Council approval;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to pay the January billing from Shoreside
Petroleum in the amount $12,004.48 for heating and diesel engine fuel, gasoline, lubricants,
cleaning solvents, and anti-freeze delivered to various departments of the City of Seward.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
22nd day of March, 1999.
